Spartans Power Over Auggies in Season Opener

Aurora University Spartans Men's Hockey team opened up their season against Augsburg in Dubuque, Iowa Friday afternoon. The Spartans won to the tune of four goals including an empty-netter late in the third. The final score was 4-1.

How it happened
- The Spartans got the season going early, as in the third minute of the game, Spartan Jaden Davis scored on the assists from Roc Truman and Landry Schmuck.
- In the 9th minute, the Auggies would even up the scoring at one.
-  At the end of the 1st the game would be ties 1-1.
- Goalie Matt O'Donnell would have 10 saves in the period.
- In the last minute of the 2nd period, Simon Diaz would take advantage of the Power-Play and score on the assist from Jake Code.
- AU would lead 2-1 going into the third.
