The Aurora University men's basketball team traveled to Kentucky to take on Asbury University before the Thanksgiving holiday break. AU rallied in the second-half and hung on late to defeat Asbury 83-80.

- AU led for all but 16 seconds of the first-half, getting off to a strong start on the road.
- The Spartans scored six points in 38 seconds early in the game to take a 9-3 lead.
- An 8-1 run late in the half gave the Spartans their largest lead of 13 (47-34) with five minutes to play.
- Leading 50-39, AU saw the hosts finish the half on a 10-2 run to head to halftime leading by three at 52-49.

- After trailing by one, Richardson made a lay-up with 3:49 left on the clock to give AU their final lead of the game.
- The Spartans then had to win the final three minutes at the free-throw line.
- AU went 8-of-12 from the charity stripe and hung on to win despite tense final moments, 83-80.
