Spartans Dominate Judson in Afternoon Matchup

The Aurora University women's basketball team hosted the Eagles of Judson University Tuesday afternoon. The Spartans broke the single-game record for three-pointers made in a single game with 19, on their way to a blow-out win over the Eagles, 95-61.

How it happened
- AU would storm out the gate, going up 12-2 in the first three minutes on the back of five Krystyna Manzanarez points.
- The Spartans would be up 27-13 by the end of the first.
- AU came out hot in the second, draining six consecutive three-point baskets over a three minute span, two makes each from Alina Anderson and Aurora Eklund.
- A steal later in the quarter by Paulina Geyrhalter, set up the layup by Dani Antione to put the Spartans up 54-23.
- Two quick threes from Antoine and Anderson got AU to 60 points at the end of the half.
- AU would lead by 29 at the half, 60-31.
- The start of the third would be no different, a quick Anderson three would get the Spartans rolling. 
- Anderson would end the third quarter with eight points, going three-of-three from the field including two threes.
- At the end of the third, AU led 84-42.
- Just over two minutes into the fourth, junior Jessica Oman would make a three to get the Spartans lead to 46. That three-pointer would break the team single-game three-point field goals made record with 19 on the day.
- Anderson would finish the game 8-of-10, with 21 points, and five of the 19 AU three's on the day.
- AU would go onto win the game by 34, with a final score of 95-61.
