The Aurora University men's basketball team traveled up to Chicago to square off against Illinois Institute of Technology on Wednesday night, with the Spartans taking the court after having a week off of play. AU got out to a big lead in the first-half and never looked back en route to a 96-54 victory.

- All five Spartan starters found the scoring column through five minutes of action, as AU held an early 12-8 lead.
- A 9-2 scoring run provided the Spartans with a 23-12 lead over IIT with 8:40 to go in the first-half.
- An 11-0 run later in the half from AU put them on top 37-16 with just under five minutes to go before halftime.
- Jeffery Hillmer capped off this scoring run with back-to-back finishes at the rim.
- Isaiah Davis buried back-to-back three's near the end of the first-half to help send AU to a 48-22 lead going into the break.
- The Spartans shot 45% from beyond the arc to give them that 16-point halftime advantage.
- Dwayne Jervier Jr. continued his offensive success coming out of the locker room, notching 10 points through the first seven minutes of the second-half.
- This helped give AU a 72-30 lead with 12:24 to go.
- BJ Harris got in on the scoring barrage as the second-half progressed, collecting six quick points.
- A 68% showing from the field in the second-half would help give the Spartans the 96-54 victory.
- AU outpaced IIT 54-34 with points in the paint, as Jervier Jr. finished with 19 points to lead all scorers.
