Spartans fly past Scarlet Hawks in #NACCtion

The Aurora University women's basketball team shot their way past the Scarlet Hawks of Illinois Institute of Technology on Wednesday night as AU connected on 16 three's in a 96-65 victory.

How it happened
- The Spartans took a 4-2 lead on back-to-back layups from Eliot Dojutrek and never looked back, leading the remainder of the contest.
- A three from Krystyna Manzanarez put the Spartans up 20-9 in the first quarter.
- AU would lead by 10 at 28-18.
- The Spartans knocked down five three's in the second quarter and led 53-33 heading to halftime.
- Manzanarez had 11 second quarter points and led all scorers with 18 at halftime.
- The third saw AU continue to get baskets and increased the lead after three quarters to 25, leading 72-47.
- In thr fourth, Courtney Schuk made a free throw that gave AU their largest lead of 36 points at 92-56.
- The Spartans would go on to win 96-65.
