The Aurora University men's lacrosse team used fast starts to periods to eventually overcome the Eagles of Edgewood College 22-7 in the 2025 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament opening contest.

- AU opened up a 2-0 lead 35 seconds into the game with tallies from
Tyler Foerstel and
Griffin Joas.
- A man-up goal from
Ben Strub pushed the Spartan lead to 3-0 before Edgewood managed to score a pair.

Eli Etzler who was dominant at the face-off dot scored right off a face-off win for a 4-2 AU lead.
- Strub scored his second of the first and
Owen Spencer got in on the scoring with 10 seconds left in the quarter.
- After one, AU led 6-3.
- AU again scored quickly to start the second with Etzler winning the face-off and seven seconds later Joas scored off a Foerstel assist.
- The second quarter scoring came to a slowdown though as each team would only score one more time in the frame.
- AU's goal came on a man-up from
Chris Bucci.
- The Spartans led going to halftime 8-4.
- Coming out of halftime, the Spartans took the adjustment from Head Coach
Reid Mayberry and over a span of 2:45 scored five times.
- A man-up goal from
Carson Leader started the run with goals from Spencer, a pair from Bucci and one from Joas.
- AU now led by a commanding 13-4 score.

Luke DuPont scored late in the third and early in the fourth to give AU a 15-4 lead.

Owen Meyer scored 45 seconds after the DuPont goal before Edgewood ended the AU run with two tallies.
- AU wasn't done though as goals continued in from
Scotty Weiss, Leader,
Charlie Kirkland,
Travis Weischadle,
Connor Stockton and
Henry Leff.
- A late goal from Edgewood ended the games scoring.
- AU would win handily, 22-7.
