The Aurora University women's lacrosse team hit the road for the opening game of the 2026 season, defeating Illinois Wesleyan University 14-9. AU opened a 7-2 lead at halftime and coasted to the 14-9 win.

- Spartan McKenzie Wilson got the scoring started 49 seconds into the game and she would eventually score the game winner later in the contest.
- Nicolina Smith, Julie Sass and Eva Taute scored as the Spartans led 4-0.
- Taute would add another in the first quarter as the Spartans led 5-1.
- The second quarter slowed down as Taute collected a hat trick and Smith added her second on the power play.
- Heading to half, AU led 7-2.
- The Spartans out-scored IWU 5-3 in the third quarter to take a 12-5 advantage to the final quarter.
- Amelia Bell scored the first of the period with Wilson adding the game winner, Smith scored a pair and Sass added one.
- The Spartans held off the Titan rally in the fourth with Smith adding her fifth of the day and Wilson collecting the hat trick.
- Meghan Ginty finished with nine saves in net for the win.
