The Aurora University men's volleyball team dropped a tough five set battle with Dominican University on Wednesday night in Thornton Gymnasium. An extra time fourth set went the way of the visitors and was enough momentum to carry as AU fell 3-2.

- AU jumped out of the gates on the Stars, building a 7-2 lead.
- The Spartans maintained the lead throughout and won 25-18.
- The Spartans finished with two blocks in the set and three Spartans, Josh McLellan, SJ Nelson and Connor Carroll had two kills each.
- The second kill of the set for McLellan which gave AU a 22-14 lead was the 1,000th of Mclellan's AU career.
- Dominican managed to win the second set 25-21.
- Ammar Brzovic had four kills in the second set.
- A kill from SJ Nelson that gave the Spartans the 9-8 lead sent AU on to the 25-19 set win and a 2-1 match lead.
- Nelson had seven kills in the set as AU hit .593 as a team.
- The fourth set saw the Spartans lead and a Nelson kill gave the hosts a 22-19 advantage.
- AU was unable to close out the set as a couple unforced errors led to Dominican points.
- Dominican would rally and win the fourth set 29-27.
- Nelson led the set with eight more kills.
- AU would drop the fifth set 15-11 and lose the match 3-2.
