The Aurora University men's lacrosse team dominated play in the first quarter in building an 8-0 lead and then coasted to a 22-4 victory over Illinois Institute of Technology on Wednesday afternoon.

Tyler Foerstel set the tone immediately after the opening face-off win from Eli Etlzer as Foerstel scored 17 seconds into the game.
- 1:30 later Foerstel scored with a man-up and AU led 2-0.

Dylan Kranzush got in on the fun when he scored two times just 15 seconds a part at 12:17 and 12:02 for a 4-0 AU lead.

Griffin Joas, Kranzush, Foerstel and Luke Dupont all added goals in the first as AU led 8-0.
- IIT scored with just over a minute remaining in the quarter as AU led 8-1 going to the second.
- AU continued to pour it on in the second while the defense locked down on IIT.

Owen Meyer got in the scoring run before a fourth of the day for Kranzush put AU ahead 12-1.
- Foerstel scored his fourth of the game to send AU to halftime leading 13-2.
- Six more AU tallies found the net in the third as AU led 19-3.
- The Spartans added three more in the fourth and won easily 22-4.
