The Aurora University men's soccer team hosted the Millikin University Big Blue at home on Sunday afternoon. With senior day events full-in-effect, the Spartans started out slow, but came back charging hard take a lopsided 7-3 victory. Senior Carlos Viayra had his name all over the stat sheet today, but it was sophomore Issa Mnangwa who led the way, collecting a hat-trick with a 68th minute goal.

- Millikin came out of the gates quick with a third minute goal to take a 1-0 lead.
- Spartan junior Isaac Jacobo scored his first goal of the game minutes later with help from senior Carlos Viayra.
- The Big Blue quickly tacked on two more goals and took a 3-1 lead in the first 15 minutes of play.
- That would be the last time Millikin would score, it would be all Spartans from now on.
- It was then Issa Mnangwa scoring in the 19th minute with assists from Isaac Jacobo and Aiden Karrer.
- Just over a minute later, it was Viayra scoring to tie the game at three.
- Mnangwa then used a penalty kick to score his second goal of the half, giving AU their first lead of the game.
- The Spartans would lead 4-3 going into halftime.
- Frankie Jimenez came out hot in the second half scoring with an assist from senior Max Crawford.
- Then in the 68th minute, Mnangwa tallied his third goal of the game, completing the hat-trick.
- Jacobo was responsible for the final goal of the match, scoring with help from a 20-yard pass from Diego Lugo.
- AU took the large victory on senior day 7-3.

Next scheduled action for the Spartan men's soccer team comes on Friday, September 11, when they make their way down to Danville, Kentucky to take on Centre College at the Bob Allen Classic. Game time is set for 7:45 p.m.
