Biography

College as a Junior (’09): He was selected as the Northern Athletics Conference Pitcher of the Year and NCAA Division III Second-Team All-Central Region. He appeared in 10 games, recording 77 strikeouts and only allowing 12 walks. His ERA was 2.12.

College as a Sophomore (’08): Appeared in nine games for the Spartans with a 5-2 record. He had a 3.75 ERA with 50 strikeouts.

College as a Freshman (’07): He started seven games and had a 1-3 record. He also compiled 30 strikeouts in just 33 innings pitched.

High School: Attended Glenbard West High School. Played baseball under Coach Brian Wajtun. He was named All- Conference as a senior.

Personal: Born 4/12/88 in Winfield, IL.

Family: John and Carol Salazar. He has two brothers, Keith and Jeffrey.
