College as a Junior (’09): Appeared in 42 games, starting all of them for the Spartans. He hit .411 with 23 doubles and 11 home runs. He was named to the First-Team All-Northern Athletics Conference.

College as a Sophomore (’08): Appeared in and started all 39 games for the Spartans. He hit .365 with 23 doubles and five home runs. He was
named to the All-Central Region Second-Team.

College as a Freshman (’07): He appeared in 37 games, starting 35 and hit .301 with eight doubles and one home run.

High School: Attended Minooka Community High School. Played
baseball under Coach Jeff Petrovic. As a senior, he was named All-
Conference and to the East-West All-Star Team.

Personal: Born 1/19/87 in Berwyn, IL.

Family: Tony and Juli Wellner. He has one brother, Bryan.

Hobbies: Snowboarding and wakeboarding.

Majors: Organization Management, and Business and Commerce.

Minor: Management Information Technology.
