Jim Boyer joined the Aurora University coaching staff for the 2017 season. He will work with the Spartan receiving group.
Boyer came to AU from Midwest College Prep where he served as the offensive coordinator. He implemented a fast-paced and relentless spread style offense that averaged over 400 total yards per game.

Before joining Midwest Prep, he worked as an Offensive and Special Teams assistant at the College of Dupage, where he coached players that would go on to have great success at schools like Texas Tech, Syracuse and Fayetteville State.

Coach Boyer was privileged to spend his playing days under the tutelage of legendary Illinois high school coach Hud Venerable. When injuries ended his playing career, he began coaching while pursuing his Elementary Education degree at Illinois State University.
