Tim Yourison joined the Aurora University coaching staff in February of 2015. He serves as the Spartans defensive coordinator, linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator.
Yourison comes to AU from Austin College where he spent the previous seven seasons. He was the special teams coordinator for all seven seasons, coaching two All-Conference players. Additionally in his time at Austin, he spent two years coaching tight ends and wide receivers, with a two time All-Conference and All-Region tight end under his tutelage. He spent two years coaching the defensive line with three All-Conference selections, two years as the defensive backs coach with four All-Conference selections and one season with the linebackers and had one All-Conference player.
A graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, Yourison spent two seasons working with the defensive line at Western Illinois University under Head Coach Don Patterson.
Yourison has a master's degree in exercise physiology from Western Illinois and a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Luther College.
