Mark Lindo joined the Spartan men's basketball staff as an assistant coach in 2009-2010. Lindo brings 27 years coaching basketball at Aurora Central Catholic High School and Naperville North High School. He has over 400 wins, 11 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) regional titles and three "Sweet 16" appearances.

Additionally, Lindo has extensive baseball coaching experience at the high school level. He spent nine years at Aurora Central Catholic as the Head Coach, winning eight regional titles, won the 1983 IHSA Class A state championship, runner-up in 1984 and 1988 state final qualifiers. The last 18 seasons, he has been an assistant coach at Naperville North.

He is a member of the following Hall of Fame's, Illinos Basketball Coaches Association, Illinois High School Baseball Coaches, Aurora Boys Baseball and Aurora Central Catholic.

The last 25 years' Lindo has spent as a color commentator for Northern Illinois Univesity Football, as well as the last seven years as a color commentator for IHSA TV Network state finals and he called championship games each of those years.

Lindo is a 1980 graduate of Aurora University, where he played four years of varsity baseball for the Spartans and was named the 1978 MVP. Lindo's father (Don) and son (Andrew) are also AU graduates, making three generations of Lindo's graduating from AU. A 1976 graduate of East Aurora High School, Lindo received his masters in education from Chicago State.Â
