Aurora University Athletics

Throughout the 2020-2021 year, the Aurora University athletic department will highlight the senior student-athletes. The seniors will provide some insight to their time at AU while getting to know them as individuals they have grown into in their time as a Spartan.

Senior Spotlight: Lindsey Simpson (Women's Volleyball)
Major: Psychology  
Minor: Biology

What are your plans after graduation? I plan on continuing my education and getting a Master's Degree.
What is your most memorable/best academic experience at AU? The most memorable academic experience for me would have to be getting a 4.0 my freshman year!
What is your most memorable athletic moment at AU? The most memorable athletic experience for me would have to be the bus ride home after winning the Regional Final in 2018.
Other than the sport(s) you play, what other sports activity are you good at? Swimming.
Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby or activity? Watching documentaries and playing video games.
What AU faculty or staff member had the greatest impact on you and why? Mrs. Escortina, she has helped me throughout my four years at AU and has aided many times in my success. She provided resources to help me be the best student and person here.
What do you enjoy most and least about practice? I enjoy the competitive nature my team has and least would have to be any blocking drill.
Do you have any pregame rituals? I don't have any pre-game rituals.
What advice would you give to underclassmen at AU? My advice to underclassmen would be to play hard and enjoy every moment because tomorrow is not promised.
If you had to listen to one song on repeat forever, what would it be and why? End by Frank Ocean.
What is something that people may not know about you but should? I love the game Sims.
If you could spend an hour each with three people (past or present), who would you choose and why? Any family member.
