Aurora University Spartan football senior defensive back Mike Langhurst (Merrillville, Ind./Merrillville H.S.) only a few days after being named the Northern Athletics Conference Football Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week, was selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week.

Langhurst had three interceptions--one shy of the AU record--in the Spartans’ 23-7 NAC win over Lakeland. He had seven tackles and four pass break-ups to go along with his three picks.

On the season, in which AU is 3-1; 1-0 NAC, Langhurst has 16 tackles, four interceptions, four pass break-ups and two-and-a-half tackles for loss.

Langhurst and the Spartan football team are in action next on Saturday, October 9, 2010, when they host Benedictine University in a Northern Athletics Conference match-up. The date is also Homecoming for AU with kick-off set for 1:00 p.m. on Vago Field in Aurora, Ill.
