Throughout the 2020-2021 year, the Aurora University athletic department will highlight the senior student-athletes. The seniors will provide some insight to their time at AU while getting to know them as individuals they have grown into in their time as a Spartan.
Senior Spotlight: Olivia Matson (Women's Hockey and Lacrosse)

What are your plans after graduation? My plans after graduation is to be accepted into the digital marketing and design plus one program at AU.
What is your most memorable/best academic experience at AU? My most memorable academic experience at AU is passing my classes.
What is your most memorable athletic moment at AU? My most memorable athletic moment at AU is sweeping Lake Forest, the excitement and bragging rights are just amazing.
Other than the sport(s) you play, what other sports activity are you good at? Sports I used to play are soccer, basketball, softball, and volleyball. I could really only chose two but I was pretty good at any really.
Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby or activity? Some favorite hobbies i like doing are hiking, fishing, swimming, camping, and eating.
What is your favorite meal in the cafeteria? The Thanksgiving Dinner.
What AU faculty or staff member had the greatest impact on you and why? Dr. Reifurth has really helped me throughout my education and I can talk to her about anything.
What do you enjoy most and least about practice?
Hockey: I don't like the shuffles, but i love how the energy is always encouraging.
Lacrosse: I don't like running much but will do it, but love just being there
Do you have any pregame rituals? I kick around a soccer ball for fun and eat a pink starburst.
What advice would you give to underclassmen at AU? Enjoy the time you have at school cause it goes by quick.
If you had to listen to one song on repeat forever, what would it be and why? You should be sad by Halsey it just hits me in the feels and a good song.
What is something that people may not know about you but should? I can cook sometimes.
If you could spend an hour each with three people (past or present), who would you choose and why? My Family because i love them.
