Aurora University senior returner James Mautino was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week as selected by a panel of the NACC Athletic Communication professionals.

Mautino earned his honor after he returned a pair of punts in AU's 70-10 homecoming win over Eureka with one going 65-yards for a touchdown. He averaged 47.0 yards between the two returns.

On the season he is now averaging 27.7 yards per punt return, which leads all Division III punt returners, returning six punts for 166 yards and a touchdown.

Next action for the Spartan football team comes on Saturday, October 7 when they travel to Concordia University Chicago. Game time is slated for 1:00 p.m. in River Forest, Illinois.
