Aurora University senior Deedee Colon Maldonado was named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Outdoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals. The honor is the seventh indoor and outdoor in 2025 for Colon Maldonado.

Colon Maldonado earned the honor after she competed in the 5,000-meter run at the UW-Platteville Invitational on April 11 and was the top collegiate finisher in a time of 16:38.23. That time is currently fourth on the NCAA performance list and leads the NACC. Overall, Colon Maldonado finished second out of the 134 competitors in the 5,000.

Next scheduled action for the Spartan track and field teams comes Thursday, April 17 at the Wheaton College Don Church Invite in Wheaton, Illinois.
