Aurora University senior Emily Densmore (Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley H.S.) has been named Northern Athletics Conference Women's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week.

Densmore made up a three-shot deficit after round one and shot an 8-over-par 80 in the second round to win medalist honors at her team's host event Sept. 10-11. She carded a 166 two-round total for an 11-stroke advantage over the runner-up. The Spartans won the three-team invitational at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course by more than 100 strokes.
 
Next action for Densmore and the Spartan women's golf team comes on Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18, when they travel to the Benedictine University Invitational. Meet time is set for 11 a.m. in West Chicago, Ill.
