Aurora University attackman Garret Rosiek (Blue Bell, Penn./WissAhickon H.S.) was named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending March 11.
Rosiek, a sophomore, led the Spartans to a 2-0 week with wins over LaRoche College and Thiel College. The two wins improved the Spartans' record to 3-1 overall in 2012.
In the two games, Rosiek had six goals, three assists, four ground balls and two caused turnovers. He finished with two goals, one assist, three ground balls and two caused turnovers during a 12-7 win over LaRoche College and followed up with four goals, two assists and one ground ball in a 20-3 win over Thiel College.
On the season, Rosiek has seven goals and a team-leading five assists for 12 points, which is tops in 2012 for the Spartans.
Next action for the Spartan men's lacrosse team comes on Saturday, March 17, when they travel to Ohio Wesleyan University. Game time is set for 1 p.m. in Delaware, Ohio.
