Aurora University junior Anthony Emmanouil (Sugar Grove, Ill.) was named Northern Athletics Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending April 29, 2012.  

Hernandez was key in Aurora's 2-0 week with an 8-1 victory over Dominican University and a 6-3 win over Concordia University Chicago.
 
Emmanouil helped the Spartans to the No. 4 seed in the NAC Tournament, where AU defeated Dominican University 7-2 in the opening round match-up on Monday, April 30. The junior went 2-0 in singles play and completed the NAC regular season with a perfect 9-0 record at the No. 5 singles spot. Additionally, he went 1-1 in doubles play at the No. 2 spot. 
 
Next action for the Spartans, currently 8-9 overall and 6-3 in the NAC, comes on Friday, May 4, when they travel to semi-final round of the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament. AU will take on Concordia University Wisconsin at 1 p.m. at the Kohler Sports Core in Kohler, Wis.
