HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU led 2-0 early behind goals from
Trevor McNamara and
Gavin Hardersen.
- The Spartans would go on to take a 6-1 lead in the first and led 6-2 after one quarter.
- Each team scored twice in the second with Spartan
JK Torres scoring with five seconds to play in the half and sent AU to intermission with an 8-4 advantage.
- A pair of early third period goals by McNamara and
Joe Brandolino gave AU a 10-4 advantage.
- BSC would score three late third period tallies to pull the score to 10-7 after three.
- AU added four goals in the first part of the fourth and led handily at 14-7.
- Despite three late BSC goals, AU won easily 14-10.
