Spartans suffer first defeat of season

The Aurora University men's lacrosse team lost their first game of the 2019 season on Saturday afternoon at the Spartan Athletic Park, losing to Albion College 11-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU trailed 2-0 when Spartan Nic Kruzlic scored on an assist from Jameson Morrison.
- The Spartans trailed 3-1 after one quarter.
- Brayden Toll scored an unassisted goal in the second but AU went to halftime down 5-2.
- Trailing 8-2 in the third, Josh Boyko scored on a man-up with an assist from Kellen Moczynski.
- AU trailed 9-3 going to the fourth quarter.
- Three straight goals from Harrison Canaday, Morrison and Boyko in the fourth pulled the Spartans to within four at 10-6 with 2:44 to play.
- The final score would find the Spartans on the losing end, 11-6.
