- AU trailed 2-0 when Spartan
Nic Kruzlic scored on an assist from
Jameson Morrison.
- The Spartans trailed 3-1 after one quarter.
- Brayden Toll scored an unassisted goal in the second but AU went to halftime down 5-2.
- Trailing 8-2 in the third,
Josh Boyko scored on a man-up with an assist from
Kellen Moczynski.
- AU trailed 9-3 going to the fourth quarter.
- Three straight goals from
Harrison Canaday, Morrison and Boyko in the fourth pulled the Spartans to within four at 10-6 with 2:44 to play.
- The final score would find the Spartans on the losing end, 11-6.
