The Aurora University men's lacrosse team made quick work of the visiting Sabres of Marian University in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Tournament. AU dominated action and won easily 27-8.

- Spartan sophomore
Josh Boyko became the single season record holder for goals scored with five tonight and now has 70 on the season. Breaking the previous mark set by
Trevor McNamara in 2016 with 66.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU won the opening possession after Marian had a violation due to illegal equipment.
- The Spartans came out firing on offense, grabbing a 3-0 lead behind scores from
Jameson Morrison and two from
Kellen Moczynski.
- Marian answered with three straight goals and midway through the first, the contest was knotted 3-3.
- The Spartans went on a 5-0 run to end the first quarter with Morrison adding two more for a hat trick and
Braden Toll scored.
- Sophomore
Josh Boyko scored the last two goals in the run with those being the record tying and breaking goals for single season goals scored.
- The AU on-slaught continued in the second as the Spartans out-scored Marian 7-1 and led 15-4 going to halftime.
- The Spartans were just as dominant in the second-half, having a 6-3 advantage in the third and 6-1 in the fourth.
