The Aurora University Spartan men's hockey team hosted the Adrian College Bulldogs in a match-up of nationally ranked Northern Collegiate Hockey Association foes on Friday night. The #12 Spartans fell to the #1 Bulldogs 4-2.

- The Spartans went to the power play first at 6:29 of the first period but during the extra skater, the Spartans Andrew Lane was called for a penalty and sent to the box.

- Later in the first, the Spartans found themselves on a 5 on 3 power play.
- 11 seconds into the 5v3, the Spartans and Adam Keyes lit the lamp.

- AU held on to the 1-0 lead as the teams headed into the first intermission.
- In the second, Adrian scored two even strength goals to take a 2-1 lead into the third period.
- 7:23 into the third, Adrian scored to go ahead on AU 3-1.
- With 7:57 left, Adrian scored again to put the Spartans down 4-1.
- The Spartans showed they were not going down quietly, scoring on the power play.
- A pass across the ice from Adam Keyes found the stick of Simon Boyko who buried his shot in the back of the net. Brayden Sampson also assisted on the goal.
- AU would not score in the final 1:49 and fall 4-2.
