Spartans fall in final match at California Lutheran Invite

The Aurora University men's volleyball came up just short in a five-set defeat on the final day at the California Lutheran Invite. AU fell to St. John Fisher College 25-21,24-26,28-26,24-26,6-15 on Saturday afternoon.

How it happened
    - In the opening set, AU jumped out to an early 4-1 lead with kills coming from Thomas Kovanic and Gunner Rodarte.
    - AU saw their lead get cut to one on several occasions down the stretch but got big kills from Martin McKee and Rodarte to maintain the lead.
    - The Spartans won set one 25-21, hitting .348 while St. John Fisher hit .125.
    - The second set went back and forth between the teams with AU falling 24-26.
    - The third set was no different as the closely matched teams went at each other.
    - The lead changed 14 times and the Spartans hit .143 to lead 2-1 in the match.
    - AU fell behind 10-5 in the fourth set and battled back but could not gain the lead and fell 26-24 to force a deciding fifth set. 
    - The Spartans trailed throughout the fifth set before falling 15-6 and losing 3-2
