The Aurora University men's volleyball battled with the Stars of Dominican University on Tuesday night in Thornton Gymnasium. Four hard fought sets were played with the Spartans falling 3-1 to the Stars.

- The first set saw AU fall being 11-7 and then coming out of a well timed timeout call, the Spartans ran off six straight points to lead 13-11.
- An ace from James Karwin, kill from Gunner Rodarte and several atack errors from the Stars fed the rally.
- Dominican later had a 4-0 run of their own to grab the lead.
- The Spartans battled but fell in the opening set 25-20.
- AU dominated the Stars in the second set, opening up a 4-0 lead, and led by as many as nine at 16-7 following a Thomas Kovanic kill.
- The Spartans won the second set 25-18 to draw even in the match.
- Kovanic had six kills in the second while the Spartans had eight block assists in the frame.
- The third set saw the Spartans trail throughout and fall 25-18.
- With the fourth set tied 7-7, AU had a 5-0 run against and forced a timeout call.
- AU worked their way back into the set and following a James Karwin ace, his third of the night, the Spartans were down just three at 20-17.
- Facing match point, Spartan John McCormack had a big kill to keep the match going.
- The Spartans would fall in the fourth set 25-20 and drop the match 3-1.
