2012 - 2013: Attended Aurora University and was a member of the Spartan football team. He appeared in all 10 games for the Spartans, racking up 2,209 passing yards with 166 completions out of 276 attemps. His long pass was 85 yards and he recorded 25 touchdowns. He was selected to the All-Northern Athletics Conference Offensive Honorable Mention.
2011 - 2012: Despite injuries, he appeared in four games for the Spartans. He threw for 883 yards, resulting in 7 touchdowns.
2010 - 2011: Attended Aurora University where he led the team in passing. He appeared in all ten games for the Spartans while passing for 2,080 yards, resulting in 20 touchdowns. He was also a 2010-2011 NAC Scholar Athlete.
2009 - 2010: Attended Mesa Community College and was a member of the football team. He appeared in all seven games for the Thunderbirds, throwing for 1124 yards, resulting in ten touchdowns. He received the WSFL Offensive Player of the Week Award after leading the Thunderbirds to a 56-31 victory over New Mexico Military Institue. He completed 20 of 27 passes for 270 yards and five touchdowns, including a 50 yard touchdown pass. He also rushed for a touchdown.
2008 - 2009: After serving a two year mission for the Mormon Church in 2005-2007, Bevell returned home to attend the University of Arizona and was a member of the football team.
High School: He graduated from Arcadia High School in 2005, where he played three years of varsity football under Coach Jim Bevell.

Family: His parents are Jim and Donna Bevell. He has three brothers, Darrell, Brock and Adam and four sisters, Audree, Renae, Belynda and Amy.
