Aurora University sophomore guard Bethany Dorrington (Princeville, Ill./Princeville H.S.) was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.

Dorrington led the Spartans to a 2-0 week with wins over Marian University (65-59) and Lakeland College (62-54) as she averaged 16.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists. Her week was highlighted in the Spartans' win over Lakeland where she scored a game-high 20 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had seven assists.

On the season, Dorrington is averaging 14.9 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game for the Spartans, 8-8 overall and 7-4 in the NACC.

Next action for Dorrington and the women's basketball team comes tonight, Tuesday, January 21, when they travel to Benedictine University. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Lisle, Ill.
