Aurora University men’s soccer player junior defender Kyle Haumersen (St. Joseph, Mich./St. Joseph HS) was named the Northern Athletics Conference Men’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 1, 2009. 

On the week, Haumersen led the Spartans to a 2-1 week with a 2-0 win on AU’s senior day against Benedictine University and a 2-1 overtime non-conference victory at Augustana College. In both games, he scored the game-winning goal.

Haumersen concluded the 2009 season with those two goals, both being game-winning goals and the only shots on goal he took all season.

The Spartan men’s soccer team finished the 2009 season with a 12-6-1 overall record and were 7-4 in Northern Athletics Conference play.
