This week's Aurora University Spartan of the Week is junior track and field standout Ryan Njegovan. He earned the honor following his tremendous performance at the 2017 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

Njegovan once again set AU history when he matched his previous record setting performance in the Indoor Track and Field NCAA Championship.

He won the second individual or team NCAA Division III National Championship, this time in the discus at the 2017 Outdoor Championship. He followed up his national title and All-American honors in the discus with a fifth place showing in the shot put to earn his second All-American award of the weekend.
