Aurora University freshman goalkeeper Kelsey Deck has been recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference as the NACC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Deck led AU to a 2-0 week with a pair of shutout wins, 9-0 over Wisconsin Lutheran College and 1-0 against Concordia University Wisconsin. She made nine saves on the week including seven in the win against previously NACC unbeaten CUW. 

On the season, Deck holds a 5-7-1 overall record with four shutouts and a 1.46 goals against average.

Deck and the Spartans (5-7-1 overall and 3-2-1 NACC) are in action next on Wednesday, October 16 when they host Alverno College. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. at Spartan Athletic Park in Montgomery, Illinois.
