Aurora University senior linebacker Marcellus Romious was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Football Defensive Players of the Week as selected by a panel of the NACC Athletic Communication professionals.

Romious, earned the award after he anchored an Aurora defense that tossed a shutout 42-0 over Concordia Wisconsin to win the 2022 NACC title. He had a sack, an interception, and four tackles - including two for loss - for a defense that allowed the Falcons only 206 yards of total offense (3.6 yards per play) and only seven plays on Aurora's side of the field.

On the season, Romious leads the Spartans in tackles with 43, has 2.0 tackles for loss, six pass break-ups, and two interceptions.
