2011 - 2012: Attended Aurora University and was a member of the Men's Soccer team.

2009 - 2011: Prior to coming to Aurora University, he attended and played soccer at Carthage College and Joliet Junior College.

High School: He attended Joliet Central High School and graduated in 2009.  He played soccer and volleyball and received the following awards for soccer: All-State Honorable Mention twice, All-Sectional twice, All-Conference three times, Freshman MVP, and All-Area goalkeeper twice.

Personal: He was born on 12/11/1990 in Joliet, IL.

Family: His parents are Robert and Michelle Vertin.

Hobbies: Running, Swimming, and Reading.
