Box Score The Aurora University Spartan women's basketball team opened the home portion of the 2011-2012 Tuesday evening in Thornton Gymnasium against the visiting Thunder of Wheaton College.

Wheaton would control the contest early on and defeat the Spartans 84-51.

AU led 4-3 just over a minute into the game but Wheaton went on a 24-5 run over the next 9 minutes and didn't look back.

AU trailed 43-23 at halftime and was led by junior guard Angela Smith who had six points.

Spartan Head Coach Jabari Harrell played 13 players in the game with junior Jocelyn Wide leading the Spartans with 10 points while Angela Smith finished with eight points.

AU is now 1-3 on the season and host Benedictine University on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 1 pm in Thornton Gymnasium.
