Selena Vargas opened the 2024 portion of the season schedule with a triple-double and double-double in a pair of AU wins. Vargas had a double-double in a 114-56 win over Dominican, scoring 10 points while grabbing 12 rebounds just 18 minutes of game action. She then went one better in a 105-48 win over Alverno. Vargas played just 18 minutes but that was enough time to collect a triple-double of 12 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists while also adding five steals. She shot 83.3 percent from the field on the week, going 5-of-6 from the field in both contests.

The triple-double was the first for an AU player since 2010 (Bethany Dorrington) and first in four seasons in the NACC.
