Aurora University junior forward Tyler Carlson was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
Carlson led the Spartans to the NACC Tournament championship as he averaged 21.0 points in the semifinal and championship games. He shot a blistering 61.5 percent from three-point range (8-of-13) and 63.6 percent from the field (14-of-22) while also averaging 4.0 rebounds.
 
On the season, Carlson is averaging 15.0 points and 5.0 rebounds while shooting 46.4-percent (122-of-263) from the field and 40.5-percent (62-of-153) from three-point range. AU is currently hold a 19-8 overall record and have won nine consecutive games. The Spartans were the NACC regular season and tournament champions with a 16-4 regular season record and 2-0 in the NACC tournament.
 
Next action for the Spartan men's basketball team comes on Friday, March 2 when they travel to Washington University, St. Louis in the first round of the 2018 NCAA Division III Tournament Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. in St. Louis, Missouri.
