Aurora University Athletics

The Aurora University Spartan Student-Athlete of the week is Sydnei Avery. Avery is a freshman outside hitter on the women's volleyball team.

Avery continued her strong play to the start of her collegiate career, being named to the DePauw University All-Tournament team as she led Aurora to the tournament title with a 4-0 record. She averaged 3.20 kills per set with a .174 hit percentage. In the Spartans 3-1 win over DePauw (receiving votes), she had 13 kills while adding three digs and one block.
